Having reliable control over your patrol K9 and practicing safe and effective K9 search tactics is a necessity for Police K9 handlers in the real world today. Being well prepared for any deployment and knowing your K9 will obey when you need it most can lower stress and reduce risk for both handlers, tactical team members and cover officers. Proper tactical K9 deployment practices can effectively reduce liability, increase your K9s reliability, build team confidence and save lives. Our focus at Tacdogs is about teaching patrol K9 handlers how to achieve these goals, not only during training, but during real deployment situations.
Tacdogs seminars are also designed to help prepare any patrol dog handler, regardless of experience, to deploy in high risk tactical situations as well as assist handlers in radically improving K9 control by learning to properly communcate with their K9 for optimal control in any environment.
The TacDogs seminar accomplishes this with a 9 step training system that will raise K9 team skills to the most effective level of mission readiness. TacDogs builds K9 team performance by teaching handlers the basics in foundational obedience, tactical team movement, and suspect engagements.
3 day seminar:
> Day one: Motivational presentation that identifies the 9 training disciplines in full detail. An educational power point filled with photos, video, and examples of actual deployment situations.
> Day two and three: Field training through the 9 disciplines, including K9 communication through motivational focus work, foundational obedience, environmental training, deployment scenerios for tactical entry and engagements. CERTIFICATIONS.
